"The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." The team spirit, confidence and co-operation of the students as well as the house tutors will set to make history at DIS. It brings laurels to these houses in the various competitions held in during the session. We hope in the coming years victory will embrace us.

ASTER – RED HOUSE :

“A TEAM IS NOT A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WORK TOGETHER. IT IS A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO TRUST ONE ANOTHER.” “With time and patience, the mulberry leaf becomes a silk gown.” It is not at all exaggerating to say that this transformation and enormous energy to maintain top position is due to the collective efforts of the House members and the students. With a great discipline, the students in Red uniform contribute immensely not only in the cultural events, but also in sports to bring laurels to their own House.

OXFORD – BLUE HOUSE :

"In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure." Oxford house students are in blue uniform. Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. In the race to win the Champions trophy, students are ahead of others and they will put all the efforts together in the coming days to realize our goal.

ZINNIA – GREEN HOUSE :

Zinnia House’s greatest glory is not in falling but in rising every time we fall.Zinnia house is green colour which symbolizes “Prosperity and Harmony”. We only believed in fare game, building team spirit inculcating good values on the field and off the field. The encouragement that the students receives make them to put their best efforts on the field. They displayed their talents in sports, arts, dance, solo singing, and declamation and brought laurels to the house by being the winners. The unique talent that students have, help to gain popularity among all.

PRIMROSE – YELLOW HOUSE :

"SUCCESS BEGINS WITH A PERSON'S WILL, IT'S ALL IN THE STATE OF MIND". Primrose House is in Yellow colour, a brightness that is often described as cheerful and warm. The inter house competitions, which were conducted, fostered a healthy spirit of competitions as well as strong sense of unity among the members of the house. In the various events the performance of the house was up to the expected standard and we gave a tough fight to other houses. The healthy competitions teach us to accept the moments of success and those of failure with indomitable spirit. Students participate enthusiastically and come out with flying colours through their wonderful results in all the Inter-house competitions conducted in the school.

We keep our students updated with the latest information and to participate each student actively in all activities, thus exhibiting teamwork, leadership, strong determination and above all trust and faith in each other. These qualities paved way to success and will help us to climb the ladder of success for many years to come. I wish good luck to all the students and extend my gratitude to all the house tutors for kind support directly and indirectly. No student will be allowed to choose their house colour, complete decision is by the school authorities for enrollment, transfer and / or removal from any particular house.
